BNA meeting notes 3-13

Announcements:
PSU students have a survey for there green space project. Please fill them out. They have an overview of project if interested give them there e-mail address.

Street fair is coming up and looking for volunteers.

Kay received a letter from district of transportation. City said no cross walk at Miss and failing.

Kay has forms for applications to join PDC organization.

Drug free zone is getting voted on in city council soon.

Land use Update with David Yoho and BHT:
David: 3712 N Borthwic is applying to be divided into two lots.
Humbolt 81 NE skidmore is applying for divide
A lot of development happening
Hostess having a bankruptcy sale

Safety Updates:
NE coalition of Safety comities meeting. Addition to the good neighbor agreement. Idea is to have a discussion and vote on to take back to coalition Motion to support addition to the good neighboor police of, “Refuse to sell copper or brilo pads or pipes intended to smoke crack.”

21 yes: 6 abstentions: 0 no
Motion passed

Crow bar is the only bar with a signed good neighbor agreement. We should target all of them.

Bureau of planning call for support:
BHT Fiscal budget time is coming up. BoP has 8 people that work for it for all the neighborhoods in Portland. For NE we have Debbie bischoff and she has been immensely helpful. Right now they are looking for support to get more funding. BHT proposes that we send a letter stating" " to the office to support more funding.

21 in favor. 1 opposed 5 abstentions
motion passes

Spring Clean UP:
This year is Saturday may 18th. Cloud burst will be bringing dumpsters. Retronics is going to help us recycle technology. Emily proposes that we focus on reusing materials brought in. Meeting March, 21st at 7pm at the Black Rose collective bookstore

Boise Voice:
Looking for help putting the paper together. Heads up for help. It was made but not sent out. Articles need to have names of the authors attached.
