BNA Board Meeting 03/27/06
In attendance: Emily, Justin, bht, Martha, Kay, Tonya, Casey (UofP student), Ross, David, Neil
Minutes taken by: Martha, then Emily

Agenda for our next meeting:
Discussion about letter in last issue of Boise Voice and an email that was sent out. There is concern that the email and the article were very one sided and that there was no byline. No one knew who wrote the article and people felt that the letter and email were put out to the public as the opinion of the BNA. Concern that we need to be careful when we write these things and that a disclaimer is always included so that the public knows that the opinions expressed are personal and not those of the BNA.

Agenda:
1)Announcements
2)Safety Committee Update (5 min.)
3)Discussion and vote on letter written by Kurisu’s to the city (10 min)
4)Update on Spring Cleanup (10-15 min.)

Board Protocol:
We need to be following Robert’s Rules. As a board, we should keep ourselves in check. For the newsletter:
David thinks all board members should sign off on all articles written for the newsletter.
This is easier said than done.. it would be making the board into an editorial collective. It’s censorship.
Nobody should be able to publish anonymously
If views are expressed as representative of BNA, they should be cited with corresponding meeting notes.
Things going out from one chairperson or another should be cleared by the co-chair for that committee.
